Earning a billion rubles in the board game industry is something Mikhail Akulov, one of the founders and CEO of the publishing holding specializing in board games - Hobby World, knows well. Under the Hobby World brand, a variety of games are released: children's games, family games, party games, strategy games, and collectible card games. More than 20% of these are the publishing house's own developments. At the beginning of Hobby World's development, the Russian audience only knew about clones of "Monopoly" and simple dice-and-token games. Today, the company annually publishes over 200 new board games, with Hobby World producing more than 3 million game copies per year. Thanks to Mikhail Akulov's initiative, globally renowned Western bestsellers like "Game of Thrones", "Arkham Horror", "Ticket to Ride", "World of WarCraft", and many other board games were translated and adapted for Russia. Several domestic games from Hobby World have become global hits and have been translated into many languages. Among them are "Spyfall", "A Find for a Spy", and "Industry".
