Gadzhi

Makhtiev

Video games and software

Under the playful name Kanobu ("rock, paper, scissors"), since 2007, the largest website about computer games in Russia has been established. Gadzhi Makhtiev, the ideologist and founder of the project, has come a long way from the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Press to the director of advertising at the computer game developer company Sibilant Interactive. It was with Sibilant Interactive that the division and dominion over several gaming resources began, from which Kanobu also grew. The project was initially created as a social network for gamers — "a theme park with blackjack" (as Gadzhi himself said), and as a result, it became one of the independent and most quoted publications on the topic of video games in Russia. Today, Kanobu is part of the "Rambler/games" structure, and Gadzhi creates all new and new "theme parks" for gamers and not only — for example, an encyclopedia of computer games.
