Film director, producer, and screenwriter. Founder of the film company "MAGNUM," engaged in the production of films and TV series, as well as in the search for and production of new talents. She has created more than 40 film works, including films like "Mars," "Let's Fly," "Mermaid," "Star," and "About Love". Anna's films have repeatedly received awards at Russian and international film festivals and competitions. Anna believes that any film is a constant search for answers that can never be found. Irony, humor, warmth, vulnerability, and like-minded characters are what distinguishes and attracts in Anna's works. The film "Mermaid" was Russia's nominee for the Oscar. The film "About Love" was recognized as the best film at the "Golden Eagle" and "Kinotavr" festivals. In 2017, Anna became the winner of the first-ever competition for the Mayor of Moscow's prize "For creating the image of Moscow in cinematography" with the film "About Love". Anna Melikyan is among the top ten most promising directors in the world according to the American magazine Variety.
