He stood at the origins of the First Channel when it was still watched in every home in the country. Konstantin Ernst is one of the founding fathers of the Russian television show business, a media manager, president of the Industrial Committee on Media, a member of the NAT Board, and a member of the Academy of Russian Television. He has worked with more than 150 films and series that have made an impact on Russian and global cinema, including "Night Watch," "Azazel," "Viking," "The Duelist," "The Method," "Vysotsky. Thank You for Being Alive," and others. For 25 years, the First Channel has remained the leader in broadcasting under his leadership. However, the main events in Ernst's portfolio are undoubtedly the "Eurovision-2009" in Moscow and the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Sochi. He is the head of broadcasts for major state events such as the Victory Day Parade in Moscow, the main naval parade on Navy Day in St. Petersburg, and the inauguration of the President of Russia. He is a multiple laureate of the TEFI award, a full cavalier of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland," a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, a laureate of the Government Prize of the Russian Federation, and the recipient of a special prize from the Association of Film and Television Producers (2023).
